Tickers Folly Field Play Area

Oxfordshire

The design concept here was underpinned by the need to create a community space where local people could enjoy dramatic and musical performances. The project was commissioned by Blewbury Parish Council and designed by local architects Anthony Stiff Associates.

The site includes pyramid climbing frames, an American swing, a zip-line, a border swing, a six-sided swing, a bird’s nest swing, plus a climbing frame with a tunnel (made from a recycled water drainage pipe). In addition, we installed a sedum roof supported by railway sleepers taken from the Hungerford Bridge near Didcot, kindly donated by local company Upton Reclaim Timber.

The project was rooted in the community, which donated earth for the mound underneath the zip-line and also planted trees.
